Zero-Waste Dinner Raises Awareness of Food Waste Management

The dinner, prepared by local area celebrity chefs, was 100% waste-free, with every component, from cookware to table centerpieces, either digestible or able to be repurposed. National Scholastic Chess Foundation (NSCF) Annual ‘Grand Prix’ Chess Tourney Starts Sunday, Nov 13

The chess tournament series kicks off Nov 13 at Greenwich Academy and is open to all students (K-12). Chess is a sport where everyone can compete on equal terms. Getting Girls into Tech: Founder of ‘Girls Who Code’ Shares Advice with Greenwich Girls

Reshma Saujani who founded Girls Who Code and who has a wildly popular TED Talk “Teach Girls Bravery, Not Perfection,” addressed girls from Greenwich High School, Greenwich Academy, Stanwich School, Whitby School, Convent of the Sacred Heart and Greenwich Country Day School. Saujani urged the girls to work on becoming brave, and to embrace risk-taking and failure rather than limit themselves to what they are good at and aiming for perfection.
