Avon Theatre in Stamford Launches Transformative Renovation Project of Historic Movie Theater

The Avon is closed for construction, which began in January 2026, and is slated to reopen in Spring 2027. The new theater will feature three state-of the art cinemas, all new seating, expanded educational facilities, welcome community gathering spaces including a cafe and wine bar, and will be ADA compliant. Greenwich Police Department Benefit Car Show Returns June 6, 2026

Registration is now open for the 2026 Greenwich Police Department Scholarship Fund Benefit Car Show, which will take place on Saturday, June 6, 2026, from 10:00am to 2:00pm at Town Hall, located at 101 Field Point Road in Greenwich. In the event of rain, the rain date will be Sunday, June 7, 2026. The popular community event will feature a wide array of classic, antique, custom, and exotic cars all on display in the heart of Greenwich. The car show is free for spectators and open to the public. The Greenwich Police Department Scholarship Fund invites car owners to sign up for early-bird pre-registration by May 29. Greenwich 8th Grade Capstone Project Highlights Benefits of Pet Rescue

If you are not currently in a position to bring a pet into your home, you can still play a vital role in contributing to these wonderful organizations. Consider reaching out to these shelters to discuss temporary fostering opportunities, which get animals out of kennels and into a home environment.
