Siegrun Pottgen has lived in her Queen Anne Style Victorian at the corner of Glenville Street and Angelus Drive for decades. She is also the longest serving Town official in Greenwich and after decades as a State Marshal, she remains an elected Republican Town Constable. First Annual Valley Jam Packs the Park in Glenville

The first annual Valley Jam was a huge success on Saturday, with well over 1,000 people in attendance over the course of the afternoon. Organized by the Pemberwick-Glenville Association, the family friendly event was the outgrowth of the annual Pemberwick-Glenville Day traditionally held in Pemberwick Park. “The best thing about Valley Jam was it was a multi generational event,” said Andrea Blume, the chair of the PGA. “Everyone had a great time – kids, families, older people who’ve lived here their entire lives, and young families who have just moved here and want to get involved with the PGA.” The move to Bendheim Western Greenwich Civic Center allowed for a reimagined event. Vincent Ferraro, Twirling at Glenville Pizza Since 1976

Vincent Ferraro honed his twirling act at Luigi’s in Harrison. He was just 13, and that was his first pizza making job, but certainly not his first job experience. He’d had newspaper routes and even sold watermelons off the back of an open truck. “I became quite the ham,” he said of his twirling routine, which he has done for decades at Glenville Pizza.
