First Annual Kate McClelland Award to be Presented at Ceremony at Connecticut College

The first annual Librarian’s Award is named for Kate McClelland, for 29 years a beloved librarian at Old Greenwich’s Perrot Library, who died in a car accident in 2009.
Ms. McClelland, known as “Mrs. Mac,” was VP/President-elect of the Association of Library Services to Children. In Greenwich, Blumenthal Talks War Against ISIS, Jobs, College Debt, Aging Infrastructure, Supreme Court Vacancy

US Senator Richard Blumenthal addressed the Retired Men’s Association on Wednesday morning in Greenwich. He spoke of ISIS “tragic, brutal, inhumane attack in Brussels.” He touched on college debt and its drag on the economy, as well as the potential for investment in US aging infrastructure to generate jobs, and the downside of leaving the US Supreme Court vacancy open.
