Greenwich Hospital to Hold Public Meeting: Let’s Talk about Zika Virus

In the wake of growing concern about the Zika virus, Greenwich Hospital will hold a public meeting entitled “Let’s Talk About Zika!” on Thursday, April 7, from 12:00 noon – 1:00 pm in the Noble Conference Center at 5 Perryridge Rd. Top Stories of the Week in Greenwich: Tesla Green Light, Barcelona Fire, Belle Haven Demolition

Highlights of the week’s news included a surprise approval by the Zoning Board of Appeals of Tesla’s proposal to operate a “gallery” on Greenwich Ave, over the objections of local car dealerships. An early morning blaze at Barcelona Restaurant resulted in no injuries. However the restaurant will be closed for the foreseeable future for repairs. An 1889 Victorian located a stone’s throw from the water and Belle Haven Club was posted for demolition. And, lastly Julian Curtiss School showed they know how to Let Go and Move On. The local culinary community joined together at Back 40 Kitchen, a superb farm-to table restaurant, to welcome the publisher and editor of Edible Nutmeg, which celebrates the local food culture of Fairfield, Litchfield and New Haven Counties.
