YMCA of Greenwich Marlins Dive Team Brings Home 23 Medals, High Marks at Nationals

The YMCA of Greenwich Marlins Dive Team recently competed at the 2016 YMCA National Diving Championship in Coral Springs, Florida. Out of the 10 teams participating in the event, the Marlins placed 3rd overall, 2nd in Women’s and 3rd in Men’s.

In total, the team brought home 23 medals. Sixteen-year-old James Hopper of Greenwich had a strong showing, placing 2nd on 1 meter, 1st on 3 meter and 1st on platform.

“It was a great weekend for the Marlins,” said Team Coach, Dylan Korn. “Everyone put in a lot of hard work leading up to nationals and we’re very proud of how everyone performed.”
