Interesting Parks & Rec Vote on Extending Dog Season at the Beach

“Most people were upset that there isn’t much enforcement down there. And when you try to enforce it, there is a very contentious response. Fido Fixers Finds Creative Ways to Raise Funds to Spay & Neuter

Susan Maounis and Lisa Wysocki, who founded Fido Fixers along with a third friend from Greenwich, Suzanne Steinberg, on Thursday featured their Skin Creamery products at a trunk show at Burning Tree Country Club. What does skin cream have to do with controlling the overpopulation of pets in the south? Maounis said that not long ago she sought answers to her constantly itchy skin. Tuesday’s the Day to Explore Little Pub Menu! Portion of Proceeds to Adopt-A-Dog!

Little Pub and Adopt-A-Dog, Inc. are partnering up for a kick-off event before the 28th annual Puttin’ on the Dog festival. On Tuesday, Sept. 15, Little Pub will donate 10% of the entire day’s proceeds to the longtime non-profit whose mission is to save, socialize and secure loving homes for unwanted or abandoned dogs and cats. “We are so grateful to Doug and Daneen Grabe for their generosity. Petite Puppy “Daisy” is Perfect Family Dog

Daisy is a Lab-Mix puppy, roughly 11 months old. She is calm, affectionate and house trained. She is recovering from surgery after being hit by a car. Her owners didn’t want to pay for the vet care, but a local rescue group did! Daisy is worth it! She is good with other dogs, but can’t play til she finishes recuperating. Stolen and Thrown into a Dog Fight, Radley is a Sweet Family Dog.

Radley is a survivor. He is house trained, beautifully behaved and affectionate. He was basically ripped to shreds about a month ago in Hartford. Dr. Kathi Meenan, a veterinarian with Rippowam Animal Hospital was called by Animal Control. She stitched him back up and nursed back to health. By law she had to return him to Animal Control so they could try to find his owner. That didn’t happen and they were ready to destroy Radley. At that point Dr. Meenan intervened and pulled him.
