State Rep. Camillo Remembers Dirty Dump “Like it was yesterday”

State Rep (R-151) recalls when he was 8, accompanying his father on his hauling route in Greenwich. On the road by 4:00am, the route ended at the dump, where Camillo described a maze of dirt paths that meandered around piles of leaves, brush and rocks. The caller was Dawn Fortunato who is a longtime neighbor of Armstrong Court and the former town dump, now “Holly Hill Resource Recovery Facility.” Fortunato took Romeo to task for the Housing Authority’s claim that soil samples tfrom the northwest corner of the public housing complex were “clean” as stated on the authority’s website.
