Greenwich Blues and Greenwich Panthers hockey tryouts are set for Tuesday, March 29 through Sunday, April 3 at Stamford Twin Rinks, 1062 Hope Street in Stamford.
The youth-travel ice hockey program is dedicated to providing opportunities for children to further their ice hockey skills in a competitive environment.
They have teams at all age levels, which are based on birth year. All Greenwich Blues teams are coed and the Greenwich Panthers are girls-only.
Team/birth years for the 2016-2017 season are: Bantam (2002 & 2003); Peewee (2004 & 2005); Squirt (2006 & 2007) and Mite (2008 & younger) for Greenwich Blues. For Greenwich Panthers girls hockey, we have U14A, U12A, U12B, U10 and U8 teams.

The Greenwich Blues Hockey Association continues to build an experienced and positive coaching staff, including Hockey Director Brett Farson, who will continue on with the Blues for his fifth year during the 2016-2017 season. Brett has passionately advocated for the Greenwich Blues, helping attract new families and high-level coaches to the organization. As the Blues’ Mite Director in 2014-15, he ran ADM practices with all Mite players and coaches to focus on skill development from the ground up.
In addition to the Greenwich Blues, Brett has been a major contributor to youth hockey in Fairfield County for over 10 years, serving as CHC Associate Coach in Chief for USA Hockey from 2010-2012. Three of his former Mite and Squirt players are committed to play Division I college hockey, including the captain of the USA Hockey 16U National Team in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
Congratulations to Brett Farson on five years with GBHA as both Hockey Director and coach.
