UPDATE: Gov. Ned Lamont has scheduled a special election for the 36th District Senate seat, which was vacated by Alex Kasser who resigned last month. The election will take place on Tuesday, August 17. On the second week of shakeups in local government, longtime Town Clerk, Republican Carmella Budkins, announced she will not run for another term.
