Each Wednesday, at the close of the weekly Old Greenwich Farmer’s Market, a Neighbor to Neighbor volunteer stops at each of the stations to collect donations for the food pantry. Additionally, there is a donations basket at the entrance to the market. Shoppers are encouraged to buy an extra item to support both the farmers and Neighbor to Neighbor. The ADA recently was refined to be more specific about where service dogs are allowed to go versus therapy and comfort dogs. Dr. Jonathan Roberti explains what those newfangled contraptions are outside his Bible Street home. They are aeroponic vertical gardens where each is set to grow 28 above-ground plants including mint, kale, arugula, Swiss chard, lettuce, cucumbers and tomatoes. Dr. Roberti had an epiphany after being severely injured by a drunk driver (he suffered 7 herniated disks and traumatic brain injury).
