Throughout the day, officers showcased specialized units including the SWAT team, dive team, and the department drone program. Police vehicles and equipment were displayed outside headquarters as children and families had the opportunity to speak directly with officers about their roles and training.
Forty-five members partnered with local nonprofits across Greenwich in a day of hands-on service supporting children, families, and community organizations.

Each Wednesday, at the close of the weekly Old Greenwich Farmer’s Market, a Neighbor to Neighbor volunteer stops at each of the stations to collect donations for the food pantry. Additionally, there is a donations basket at the entrance to the market. Shoppers are encouraged to buy an extra item to support both the farmers and Neighbor to Neighbor. The ADA recently was refined to be more specific about where service dogs are allowed to go versus therapy and comfort dogs.
