37th Annual One Mile Swim Returns to Greenwich Point to Support Water Safety and Swim Lesson Scholarships

This community tradition raises funds to support swim lesson scholarships. Through its partnership with Greenwich Public Schools, the YMCA evaluates approximately 600 fourth-grade students each year to assess their water safety skills. After Complaint, Greenwich P&Z Considers “Fabric Covered Structure” at Burning Tree Golf Course

A fabric covered storage structure was erected without a permit.  The commission said pickleball was being played, though they believed only tennis was approved.  Commissioner Dennis Yeskey said Burning Tree Club had always been a great neighbor. “But over the last five years it just keeps imposing on the neighborhood noise levels and construction that I don’t think the management is sensitive to….pickleball, I do not get. It doesn’t belong here in the neighborhood. I don’t believe the tennis documents you show cover pickleball. Period.”    Continue Reading →
