David Hughes, 84, Retire Greenwich Police Detective

The Greenwich Police Department announced the recent death of retired Greenwich Police Detective David Hughes. He was 84 years old. Detective Hughes started his 24 year career with the Greenwich Police Department on August 1, 1960 and retired on August 1, 1984. Detective Hughes was born on June 22, 1938 and raised in New Rochelle New York. Prior to becoming a Greenwich Police Officer, he served in the U.S. Coast Guard from 1958 until 1960.
