New Lebanon School Theater Program Expands to ‘West Side One Acts’

The theater program at New Lebanon School, now in its fifth year, is made possible by a generous grant from the Greenwich Alliance for Education. ART06870 Exhibition/Fundraiser: “10² – Using Art as a Vehicle for Change” Set for Oct 5

Each artist has contributed a 12 x 12” panel of original artwork, available for auction at a set price of $300. The proceeds will support art workshops designed to enrich the lives of children. These workshops, conducted at the Boys & Girls Club and at additional locations in local schools, museums, galleries, and studio spaces, will provide creative outlets for thousands of children. Greenwich Alliance AVID Transition to College Program: “They prepare you so well!”

The Greenwich Alliance for Education in the midst of their second “T2C” Transition to College workshop series. On Wednesday there was a workshop at the YMCA Greenwich titled, “College Culture: Drugs and Alcohol on Campus.” The workshop included ways to stay safe, know resources, and establish boundaries in the new space of college. United Way Issues Grant to Greenwich Alliance for 8th Grade DC Trip

The $30,000+ grant will go toward trip tuition assistance and a stipend for each of the 80 qualifying students. Working together on this initiative, the Greenwich United Way, Greenwich Alliance for Education and the D.C.
