Expert Lectures Retired Men’s Association on Rise and Decline of Traditional Newspaper Industry

With declining news print sales, it’s anyone’s guess whether traditional daily and weekly papers have a future or whether independent online sites will rule the day. Audi Gets P&Z Okay to Move the Historic 1725 John Addington House

Thomas Heagney, attorney for Audi, presented an application to move the historic John Addington House, which is located on the dealership’s property. In the process Audi would hire a company with expertise in moving historic buildings with masonry structures. (The Addington House has a masonry fireplace and interior chimney.) Audi has been given concessions in return for the historic overlay for the Addington House. Greenwich Library Extended Hours for School Exam Week

Dozens of students use the Library as a quiet study space during exams, both as individuals and as an ideal location for group study. As always, Library staff will be available to assist with reference questions. The Main Library will remain open 9:00am until 10:00 pm on Tuesday, Jan 19 through Thursday, Jan 21 and on Monday, Jan 25 for public and private school exam weeks.
The Library will also remain open until 6:00 pm on Sunday, Jan 24. (There will be no extended hours on Friday and Saturday, regular schedule applies).
Jose and EltonElton’s Café in the lower level of Greenwich Library will extend its hours until 7:00 pm on extended-hours weekdays so that students can purchase study break snacks.
The Library is closed on Monday, Jan 18 for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. Continue Reading →
