Club Monaco, LF Clothing Targeted by Shoplifters on Greenwich Ave; Possible Larceny at Staples in Old Greenwich

Greenwich Police are investigating Larcenies at Greenwich Avenue stores that occurred on Jan. 6. Two shirts – one valued at $96 and the other $108 – were reported stolen from LF Stores at 319 Greenwich Ave. At Club Monaco, at 173 Greenwich Ave, a pair of ladies shoes was also reported missing.

On the other side of town, on the evening of Jan. 6, Greenwich Police received a report of a possible theft from Staples at 1297 East Putnam Ave. According to Lt. Gray, suspects in a black BMW, possibly with New Hampshire plates, fled the store. He said a suspect has been identified and an investigation is pending.

According to Lt. Gray, national chain stores are targeted by shoplifters because their security protocols are consistent.
