Arch Street Task Force Announces the First of Two Public Hearings

The first of two public hearing has been announced for input on the future of 100 Arch Street, commonly referred to as the Arch Street Teen Center (though the Teen Center has moved out of the building).

The first hearing will take place on Monday, June 15 in the Town Hall meeting room from 6:00 to 7:30pm.

The hearing is being organized by the First Selectman’s task force, which has been charged with re-imagining and repurposing this important town-owned building.

Located just off Exit 3 of I-95, 100 Arch Street sits beside one of the town’s most treasured waterfront parklands – a site that has hosted some of Greenwich’s most beloved community events, including Greenwich Town Party, Adopt A Dog’s Puttin’ on the Dog, the Greenwich Concours D’Elegance and many others.

With this in mind, the task force invites the community to share their thoughts on the future of the building at 100 Arch Street, including its connection to the waterfront and park, and the community and commercial opportunities that could help this special place serve Greenwich for generations to come.

The Task Force will present previously developed park designs and other concepts for public discussion.

It is not often that a downtown waterfront building comes before the community for consideration of use, look and purpose for the highest and best commercial and community uses.

The task force urges Greenwich residents to attend, voice their opinions and take part in this once-in-a-lifetime re-visioning exercise.

A Zoom link will be made available.
