Distant cousins who met on Ancestry.com learned there is an African-American burial ground in Byram. Though the cemetery was desecrated a few years ago during neighbors’ construction project, they hope to have it restored, fenced off and marked with a monument.

On a clear sunny afternoon, a small group ascended the scaffolding that shrouds the YMCA of Greenwich. The group has a close up look of the restoration of the building’s slate roof and facade, which is being restored after 100 years.
