Local Residents & Parents Help “Raise Dough” for Swim Across America Fairfield County

Nick Hyden now swims at the annual Swim Across America Fairfield County open water swim on Team Julian in honor of his friend and teammate. Swim Across America Raised $385,000 in 2018 for Cancer Research

Swim Across America Fairfield County raised $385,000 in 2018 for its beneficiary, the Alliance for Cancer Gene Therapy (ACGT). The funds were raised during the group’s open water swim and other fundraising activities throughout the year in 2018. The funds raised support cancer gene therapy research funded by ACGT. In the past 12 years, Swim Across America Fairfield County events have raised more than $3.8 million for crucial support of the Alliance for Cancer Gene Therapy (ACGT). Team Julian Raises Largest Funds for Cancer Research at Greenwich-Stamford Swim Across America Event

Julian Fraser, a 2014 graduate of Greenwich High School, passed away in February after a battle against osteosarcoma. His friends and family swam to honor him at this year’s Swim Across America open water swim. Collectively, the team raised over $82,000. Continue Reading →
