Neighbors Slam BOE Proposal for Temporary Lighting on CMS Field; P&Z Says Come Back with More Details

At Tuesday night’s P&Z meeting, neighbors turned out with their objections to illuminating the field at CMS with temporary lights powered by generators. The superintendent and director of facilities for Greenwich Schools said they’d like to use the field for the GHS boys rugby team, which includes freshmen, JV and Varsity teams. Greenwich PTA’s to RTM, BET: Release Allocated Funds for New Leb, Avoid Forced Redistricting

“The State’s response to our failure to uphold the agreement is to force redistricting. This is currently being discussed in Fairfield and West Hartford. If redistricting is enforced, the Town of Greenwich would be required to cross-town bus approximately 900 students at a minimum estimated expense of $1,500,000 per year for transportation alone. March On Greenwich is Storming the Greenwich RTM Ballot

March On Greenwich said they recruited 40-50 RTM candidates for the Nov 7 election. Town Clerk Carmella Budkins said her office received a total of 110 petitions, 31 of which were from incumbents, with a total of 79 new candidates and contested races in 8 of the 12 districts. Continue Reading →
