The Retired Men’s Association of Greenwich, in a new partnership with Greenwich Hospital, recently enjoyed a wonderful evening together at the Bruce Museum. The evening was part of Greenwich Hospital’s ongoing and popular Arc of Care Campaign “Medical Insights” lecture series. The program, entitled, “Diagnosis, Treatment, Prevention: The Future of Urology,” is part of the series designed to educate the community about the hospital’s work and inspire investment to sustain and grow programming. The event brought together medical professionals, community leaders, and volunteers to discuss key urological health matters. Both organizations are committed to strengthening their relationship by enhancing outreach to inform, educate, and foster dialogue for a healthier local community. Continue Reading →

In “The Modernist Studio,” an in-gallery interactive space, visitors can design their own Cubist landscapes, learn more about the innovations of the Provincetown print, and share drawn or written responses to Lazzell’s work. The steep slope from Bruce Museum down to Steamboat Rd has been a challenge in terms of a planting plan. The applicant seeks to relocate the stone wall along Steamboat Road, lower it and push it back so the sidewalk can be doubled in width from 5 ft to 10 ft, and allow space for street trees and seven decorative street pole lights to match the ones on Greenwich Ave.

The exhibition features more than 60 original artworks that have been selected for the annual Federal Duck Stamp alongside taxidermy and carved decoys from the Bruce Museum’s collection. In the past 90 years, the Federal Duck Stamp has raised more than $1.2 billion to fund habitat conservation that protects waterfowl species that once faced extinction because of market hunters and agricultural growth that drained wetlands.
