GPD Seek Tips to Identify Female Homicide Victim found Along Glenville Rd

On February 5, 2019 at about 8:23am, Greenwich Police were advised by passing Town of Greenwich highway workers that a body had been found off the shoulder of Glenville Road, just north of Stillman Lane.

Patrol officers responded to the scene, determined that the victim was deceased and closed off Glenville Road in the immediate area. A crime scene was established and Greenwich Police detectives responded in order to assume the investigation.

The Detective Division Crime Scene truck was dispatched to the scene. A thorough and
methodical forensic examination of the scene was completed at about 4:00pm.

The victim was found at the scene inside a suitcase with her hands and feet bound. The victim has not been identified and appears to be a female between the age of 18 and 30. The cause and manner of death have not been established. Representatives from the Connecticut Office of the Chief Medical Examiner (OCME) responded to the scene, conducted an examination and transported the victim to their facility.

In addition to the OCME, Greenwich Police are working with State’s Attorney’s office in Stamford.

This continues to be an active homicide investigation.

“We have received many tips from the public which are all being investigated. We have some leads on identification of the victim, but we are currently unable to
confirm anything,” Police said in a statement released Wednesday morning. “Our focus at this time is positively identifying the victim and notifying the next of kin. We are sensitive to the fact that the victim is member of someone’s family and our thoughts are with those impacted by this tragedy.”

The Greenwich Police Department is committed to identifying those responsible for this
homicide.

Police ask that anyone who may have seen anything suspicious on Glenville Road in the last few days to contact the Greenwich Police Tip Line at (203) 622-3333 and email at [email protected].
