Hundreds Turn out in Byram to Support Building New Lebanon School on William Street Ball Field

On Tuesday night, a public forum at New Lebanon School was packed. Seating ran out quickly, and dozens stood at the back and lined the walls of the gym. After architect Michael Tribe reviewed Schemes A through D, all options for locating a new school on the Byram campus, the Board of Education opened the mic to members of the community. “Making God’s World a Better Place” – Reflections of Two Stanwich School 2015 “Graduates”

This past Friday, students and teachers at The Stanwich School gathered together in a Closing Ceremony to commemorate the end of the 2014-15 school year. Julian Curtiss Kindergarten Teacher to Retire after 44 Years

Farewell to Julian Curtiss School kindergarten teacher Jayne Pitt. Mrs. Pitt has taught hundreds, if not thousands of Julian Curtiss School kindergartners, the basic skills necessary to succeed in school and life. PTA President Sarah Muir described her as smart, no nonsense and demanding of respect. Some of the lessons Mrs. Pitt instills include: Share, Be Kind, Don’t Hit, Clean Up after Yourselves and, a key lesson, If You Don’t Follow the Rules, There are Consequences. Continue Reading →

Kids Bling Their Bikes at the North Street School Bike Rodeo

At North Street School’s Bike Rodeo children had fun zipping around the front bus circle, which was cleared of cars for the event. In fact, the only vehicle in sight was an ice cream truck while a range of bikes, including many with training wheels raced around the parking lot. Greenwich Police were on hand to talk bike safety, along with Vin DiMarco of Greenwich Safe Cycling and Roberto from Greenwich Bicycles.
