Want Some Happy News? Lilly Went from Dire Straits to Forever Home

We love dogs in Greenwich, don’t we? There is nothing more gratifying than featuring a dog who needs a home on Greenwich Free Press and then reporting a happy ending — in this case, a forever home for Lilly. A few weeks ago we featured Lilly, the little Chihuahua-Jack Russell mix we met at Pet Pantry on Railroad Ave in Greenwich. Five-year-old 5 Lilly had just been pulled from a home in Westchester just 24 hours prior to the adoption event. Greenwich Native, Mom of Twins Brings Dog Grooming to Cos Cob Hub

After two dark years, the lights will soon be on inside the little white house at 257 East Putnam Ave. Just across the street from Cos Cob School, the last business to operate at the location was a tile store. A crew of workers have been busy painting, refinishing floors, updating lighting, and adding the charming white picket fence so that Jackie Jamroz Lasko’s dream of opening a dog grooming business will be fulfilled. The Riverside native went to Dundee, EMS and GHS before eventually entering the corporate world. But when her longtime job at Diagio was relocated to Hungary, she made a conscious decision to follow her passion and began working as a dog groomer. Continue Reading →
