Future of 290 Railroad Ave? Pet Pantry Owners Hire Outside Counsel

Reached by phone on Thursday for comment on the transition at 290 Railroad Ave, Adam Jacobson graciously declined.

Groomer Has It in Cos Cob Donates Bath & Haircut for Adoptable Senior Toy Poodle

Nooki has come a long way since being left in a laundromat on Long Island last month. After a week’s stay in the laundromat, he made it to animal control, and from there to the care of Cat Assistance volunteer and Greenwich resident Kerri Ann Hofer. Hofer knew that the little toy poodle would benefit from an expert grooming and reached out to Groomer Has It in Cos Cob, where Monica Torres didn’t hesitate. Torres, a big fan of rescue dogs, including her own rescue Min Pin who is something of a Mini-Me for Torres’ other dog, a Doberman Pinscher, took to Nooki right away. Nathaniel Witherell Residents Treated to Visit from 14 Dogs

Recently at The Nathaniel Witherell, 14 dogs and their owners paid a visit for an event named “Pooches on Parade.” All dog lovers know how therapeutic a dog visit can be.The dogs were joined by their human companions, including staff, family members, volunteers and members of the community. During the program, each owner came up to the microphone, and introduced their dog to the crowd. Change is Afoot at Adopt-A-Dog with Departure of Director

Up at Adopt A Dog, the Executive Director Allyson Halm has resigned and the board is conducting a search for her replacement. The non-profit has rewritten their mission: To save, socialize and find homes for abandoned and unwanted dogs and cats.

Nookie and Nash! Adoptable Dogs Available in Greenwich

Two Greenwich moms joined forces and are a powerhouse in the world of dog rescue. Since Greenwich Animal Control does not allow volunteers, these Greenwich mothers partnered with a local 501(c)3, enabling them to foster and place homeless dogs they pull from municipal shelters.
