Governor Lamont Signs Legislation Making Absentee Ballots an Option for All Voters in Connecticut Elections

The legislation increases the penalty for harassing election workers from a misdemeanor to a felony on a second offense, including publicizing an election worker’s name or address with intent to intimidate. It also makes tampering with an absentee ballot drop box a class D felony. Additionally, it restricts federal law enforcement officials from being within 250 of a polling place or other sensitive election site without permission from state election officials or court order. CMS Students’ Capstone Project: Free Community Dance Class

Central Middle school 8th graders, Lilia Dubin and Jagger Levine have been busy planning their unique Capstone project. Noting that dance classes typically expensive, and many people don’t get enough exercise, Lilia and Jagger had the idea to teach a free dance class. The class is set for May 24 from 11:00am to 12:00 noon at Sportsplex 49 Brown House Rd, Stamford, CT 06902.
