The Undies Project Rolls out Third Year of Undie Sundays

For the third consecutive year The Undies Project Inc. held its very successful Undie Sundays donation drive in May and June. Thirteen local area churches and synagogues have already participated in Undie Sundays collecting over 4,200 pairs of new underwear for those in need. “This is incredible,” said Laura Delaflor, co president of The Undies Project, adding, “In our first year we collected 1,443 pairs of underwear with the drive being hosted only in Greenwich in May. Now, in addition to Greenwich, houses of worship in Darien, Westport, Wilton, Norwalk, Stamford are participating as well.We hope to add even more towns next year.” The underwear collected is distributed to the 20 organizations The Undies Project now helps in Lower Fairfield and Westchester Counties. “Mardi “Bra” Drive to Run February 21 – March 3

The Undies Project, will hold its second bra drive, called Mardi “Bra”, to coincide with Mardi Gras, in Greenwich and Stamford to collect donations of new and gently used bras. The mission of The Undies Project is to provide new, unused underwear to men, women and children in need to improve their lives. Underwear is the most under-donated, and most needed, item of clothing that many of us take for granted. No one should be deprived of the simple, daily necessity of clean underwear.
