OG and Greenwich Lions Clubs Merge; Ambassadors of Sight Awards Presented

The Lions Club of Greenwich, Chartered in August 1923, and the Old Greenwich Lions Club, Chartered in May 1933, with a combined 186 years of service to Greenwich, merged in September 2016. Greenwich and OG Lions Collaborate for Sophisticated Eye Screening at BANC

On any given school day, the Byram Archibald Neighborhood Center (BANC), is a hive of activity. The New Lebanon School kindergarten classes are currently housed there. Then, after school Christina Nappi runs a program for about 65 New Leb children in K-3 until 5:30pm. On Thursday, members of the Old Greenwich and Greenwich Lions Clubs gave free vision screenings to the children. More than a simple acuity test, the Lions Clubs sophisticated camera tested for eye disorders including far and near sightedness, astigmatism, anisometropia, strabismus and anisocoria.
