Julian Curtiss offers the choice of learning either Spanish or French in grades K-5. New Lebanon School, Preschool-Grade 5, is an authorized International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme school and has been a magnet school since 2009. Third-grade students at the International School at Dundee (ISD) choreographed and performed their own dance stories as part of an ongoing cultural partnership with the Connecticut Ballet. Now in its ninth year, the partnership augments the third grade IB Unit of “How We Express Ourselves” and the central idea of “Feelings, ideas, and beliefs can be expressed through movement,” by giving students a comprehensive understanding of dance, including dance skills, timing, transitions, music adaptation, dramatic expression and spatial relationships.
