Greenwich Scouting held its annual Eagle Recognition dinner at the Hyatt in Old Greenwich on Tuesday. In all, 23 Eagles were recognize for earning Scouting’s highest rank!
Fred Camillo was honored with the 2016 Friend of Eagles award. State Rep Camillo, who represents the 151st district of Greenwich has experience as a small business owner, high school teacher, baseball coach and mortgage banker. When Camillo is not in Hartford, he can be seen in town at the many organizations he is a member of, including Greenwich Baseball Foundation, Jr Babe Ruth League, Old Timers Athletic Association, Cos Cob Association and the Greenwich Council, BSA.
Camillo has served as the honorary chair of the Scouting for Food drive for the past several years, leading the drive in collecting over six tons of food.
