This Sunday, May 4, is the Knights of Columbus  spring outdoor flea market in the Island Beach Parking lot from from 10:00-4:00. Admission is free and there is usually a nice range of antiques and bargains, including everything in the attached photos! ______________________________________

Exotic Pet Day at Greenwich Animal Control

Saturday, May 3, Greenwich Animal Control at 393 North Street is hosting New Canaan Nature Center and Wilton Parrot Rescue for their first-ever exotic pet awareness day. Learn about the commitment to taking care of a chinchilla, a parrot or snake, for starters, before you bring one home. Putnam Indian Field Pre-Schoolers Fight Hunger, Poverty through Art and Heifer International

The children of Putnam Indian Field School (age 2 – 5) created individual and group work to display for their parents. The children were inspired by the works of artists Yayoi Kasuma, Vassily Kandinsky and Claude Monet. The Annual Art Show, held on the weekend of April 25 -26, allowed parents to see what their children had been preparing for weeks. One Nursery class imitated a Kasuma project by decorating a white room, white furniture and white household objects with colorful dot stickers.They even found a way to “dot” the ceiling!
