Greenwich Schools PTA Council Honors Volunteers with Essence Awards

On Tuesday morning a large group of Greenwich Public Schools PTA volunteers gathered at town hall to honor nominees for the Essence awards. This year there were an unprecedented 16 nominees.

Greenwich P&Z Mulls GCDS Proposal for Staff Housing and Expanded Daycare

The GCDS Schwarz Campus is 41.5 acres in the RA-1 zone and the school does not receive any FAR bonus for educational use. The Schwarz Campus at 23 Fairfield Road was originally part of the F.A.O. Schwarz estate, which goes all the way to Cardinal Road. Even if the school added the requested units, they would still have remaining FAR, but the discussion revolved around the proposed multi-family apartment building in the RA-1 single family zone.

For more than 110 years, the YMCA of Greenwich has served as a cornerstone of the Greenwich community—responding to evolving needs and ensuring that children, families, and working caregivers have the support they need to learn, grow, and thrive. This summer, the YMCA is expanding its summer camp offerings through a new collaboration with Scouting America Greenwich, allowing YMCA programs to operate at the historic Camp Seton beginning summer 2026.
