Participants aboard the Aquarium’s unique new hybrid-electric research vessel, R/V Spirit of the Sound, will make passes by five century-old beacons: Peck Ledge, Greens Ledge and Sheffield Island lighthouses in Norwalk, Penfield Reef Lighthouse in Fairfield and Stratford Shoal (Middle Ground) Light. Anthony Lopez Apologizes to DTC for Hurt Feelings, Insists “Walls Must Come Down”

Anthony Lopez apologized to members of the DTC on Thursday night for any hurt feelings caused by his open letter about the committee’s lack of diversity, but said he wasn’t calling anyone racist. He said that students in the GHS student center separate themselves by race and socio-economic class, and that he was disappointed to read a blog saying he’d called the DTC racist pigs.
