More Milbank Ave Condos Coming: End is Near for Row of Three Turn-of-Century Houses

On Tuesday night the Planning and Zoning Commission voted 5-0 to approve a final site plan and special permit for the development of condominiums on Milbank Ave at the intersection of Havemeyer. The plan will require the demolition of existing houses at 259, 261 and 263 Milbank Avenue, one of which is an, 11,000 sq ft 4-family home. The other two are single family dwellings. The project involves constructing two new buildings totaling 19,290 sq ft for a total of four units over a common parking garage, with elevators. Former Greenwich Resident Sentenced for Trafficking Pot

A previously convicted felon was sentenced to 17 months in Federal prison for trafficking marijuana. The former Greenwich resident filed a motion seeking early termination of his supervised release on a sentence for fraud conviction, stating “Defendant is a totally different person as a result of being incarcerated. The life-changing and life-improving process was used to make the most of every day.” On Wednesday he was sentenced for trafficking marijuana.

Where A Man’s Home Was a Castle, P&Z Says ‘Not So Fast’ on Palmer Hill Subdivision

A developer has proposed to take the turn of the century mansion known as Buena Vista, or by neighbors as “The Castle” and turn it into a subdivision with 6 homes. His engineer and attorney say they could have fit in 8 homes, but are leaving green space. The P&Z commission declined to vote on it. They want more details on drainage and landscaping first.
