TAG Announces Greenwich Grand Prix Go-Kart Racing Fundraiser

Transportation Association of Greenwich (TAG) will hold a fall fundraiser, the Greenwich Grand Prix, to be held on Sunday October 27, 2019 at RPM Raceway in Stamford, Connecticut from 2:00 – 5:00pm.

The Greenwich Grand Prix is a go-kart racing and fundraising event to raise money to purchase a new 20-passenger vehicle with wheelchair lift.

The go-kart racing teams are from Greenwichʼs top car dealers and they are competing for the Greenwich Grand Prix Championship. The community is invited to come and cheer on the racing teams and support TAG to raise these much-needed funds. TAG has an aging fleet of para-transit vehicles and several need to be replaced very soon so TAG can continue to provide safe and reliable transportation.

“We are so excited about this truly unique go-kart racing fundraising event. Itʼs a thrilling experience and an opportunity to raise awareness and funds to help TAG continue to provide safe and reliable transportation to those in need.” Deborah Tual, Director of Marketing at TAG.

Tickets are on sale now. For more information on tickets, teams, donations and sponsorship, visit ridetag.org/greenwich-grand-prix.

The Transportation Association of Greenwich has served the Greenwich community for over 30 years with quality, courteous, safe and reliable transportation to those in need.

Special transportation is provided for Greenwich residents that are seniors (age 60+) and disabled (adults and children) through the Dial-a-Ride program.

TAG also makes it possible for elementary school children to attend the after school programs at the YMCA/YWCA, delivers food to those in need through a partnership with Neighbor to Neighbor, as well as taking seniors to River House and the Senior Center.

TAG relies solely on individual and corporate donations, grants and foundations.
