Celebrate the Second Annual “The Last Taste of Summer” Craft Beer Festival

Celebrate “The Last Taste of Summer” at Roger Sherman Baldwin Park on Saturday, September 29th from 1:00pm – 4:30pm for general admission and 12:00pm – 4:30pm for VIP.

Enjoy a fabulous afternoon with family and friends at this lively craft beer tasting festival featuring brews and pours from over 30 of Connecticut’s finest craft breweries including Asylum Distillery, Bad Son’s Brewery, Charter Oak, Down The Road Beer Company, Fairfield Craft Ales, Guinness, Long Drink, Owl’s Brew, Nebco, New Belgium, New England Brewing Company, Mike’s Hard Lemonade, Stony Creek, The Finnish Long, Tito’s White Claw Hard Seltzer and wine from Oyster Bay.

Weenies and out of this world ice cream from Milkcraft; while listening to the cool
summer sound of the Wilton Steel Community Band, Fingersleeve, featuring an eclectic mix of Americana, Rock and Blues. and Doghouse, a Jam Band that plays Rock, R & B, and Funk.

Savor Asarsi’s pure flavored water from living trees, amazing kombucha from Om Champagne Tea, naturally effervescent & non-alcoholic and Rise Brewing, nitro cold brew coffee.

Proceeds of the craft beer festival will go towards Live Green CT! ’s Start In Your Own Front Yard Program that helps to eliminate plastic from getting into the ocean.

Plastic in our oceans is a global issue and tackling it is a priority. We need to find better ways to manage and reduce plastic in the ocean and need to prevent it from getting there in the first place.

Join us in the VIP tent starting at noon for specialty pours and brews not available in the general admission area. Taste The Ultimate Bloody Mary, and Moscow Mules. Try Boutique Cellar red wine, enjoy olive oil tastings, and tantalizing beer/food pairings, offered by The J House and more.

The Last Taste of Summer is produced by Live Green Connecticut! which is a 501 (C) (3) charity. Co-founders Daphne Dixon and Scot Weicker said of the event, ““The Festival is a wonderful event that celebrates a beautiful time of year and features local craft breweries, food, live music and exhibitors. Our goal is to provide a fun experience while underscoring the importance of supporting local businesses, providing environmental education, and supporting our program that keeps plastic out of the ocean.”

Over the last seven years, Live Green CT! has educated over 25,000 people and produced over 250 environmental events including symposiums at Yale and Fairfield University, a community solar campaign, energy workshops, the Live Green CT! Festival and the regional Conference on Sustainable Development at Grace Farms.

The focus now, has turned to the Global Sustainable Development Goals and specifically 14.1 – eliminating all land-based litter and keeping it out of the oceans.
