Adopt-A-Dog’s 38th Annual Puttin’ On The Dog Festival will take place on Sunday, September 27, in Greenwich’s Roger Sherman Baldwin Park.
Now in its 38th year, Puttin’ On The Dog is Adopt-A-Dog’s largest annual fundraising event, with proceeds supporting the shelter, medical care, training, and other essential services for dogs
awaiting loving homes.

The festival will run from 10:00 am to 4:00pm and feature dog competitions and demonstrations, music from DJ PRZA, food trucks, children’s games and crafts, local vendors, a lure course, and plenty of activities for four-legged guests.
Adoptable dogs from Adopt-A-Dog will also be on site to meet prospective families.
“Puttin’ On The Dog is one of our favorite days of the year because it brings together everything we care about—our dogs, our supporters, and the community that makes our work possible,” said Chessy Santoro, Executive Director of Adopt-A-Dog. “It’s a wonderful day of fun, but it also has a tremendous impact on our ability to care for dogs in need.”
This year, Adopt-A-Dog is proud to honor Frank J. Gaudio, President and CEO of The First Bank of Greenwich, for his leadership and the bank’s longstanding commitment to Adopt-A-Dog and the local community.
This year’s festival will also serve as a filming location for The Adoptables, a new comedy series created by Greenwich native Blake Sherwyn that parodies The Real Housewives and features a cast of real-life shelter dogs from Adopt-A-Dog.
Voiced by actors and comedians with a combined social media following of more than 70 million, the series uses humor and entertainment to spotlight shelter dogs and help them find loving homes. The Adoptables is set to debut on YouTube and social media later this year.
Guests are encouraged to bring their friendly, leashed dogs to join the festivities, including popular dog competitions that celebrate everything from personality and special talents to puppies, seniors, and Adopt-A-Dog alumni.
Funds raised through Puttin’ On The Dog support Adopt-A-Dog’s year-round work, including rescue efforts, veterinary and emergency medical care, training, enrichment, and daily operations at its Armonk, New York, shelter.
“Puttin’ On The Dog is much more than a fundraiser,” said Santoro. “It’s an opportunity for people to see firsthand the joy dogs bring to our lives and the difference this community can make in the lives of animals. You don’t have to adopt to help a dog in need.”
Tickets are now on sale at adoptadog.org. Adult admission is $25 ($45 for two); seniors and children over age five are $10. Tickets will also be available at the gate.
