Greenwich Police Arrest Suspect for Attempted ATM Break In

On September 20, Greenwich Police arrested a suspect for allegedly trying to get into an ATM in Greenwich Plaza last month.

Greenwich Police say that back on August 16, around 4:00am, someone had tried to get into an ATM in Greenwich Plaza, but had been scared away by the security guards who chased him off. The suspect damaged the ATM in the process of trying to access it.

Evidence collected at the scene identified Devon Pearson, 31, of 504 Wilmot Ave in Bridgeport, and an arrest warrant was obtained.

On Thursday CT Judicial Marshals at Stamford Superior Court turned over the suspect who was in court that day on an unrelated matter.

Pearson was charged with Burglary 3, Criminal Mischief 1 and Criminal Attempt Larceny 6.

He was assigned a date in Stamford Superior Court on Oct 5, 2018. His bond was set at $150,000, which he was unable to post.
