Never provide a copy of your utility bill or account information to any unsolicited person on the phone, at the door, or online, particularly if you question their legitimacy.
Customers can verify they are speaking with an Eversource representative by asking for some basic information about their account like the name on the account, the account address, and the exact balance due.

DENIED: CT Siting Council Votes to Deny Eversource Substation at 290 Railroad Ave

Update: Eversource issued the following statement May 13, 2:30pm. While we’re disappointed with the Council’s decision, we’re encouraged that its members understand the urgent electric reliability needs of Greenwich. The decision provides us an opportunity to come up with a modified solution to address the capacity and reliability challenges in Greenwich.  We’ll look for additional savings as we redesign our proposal. Presenting a Really Giant Check: Eversource Donates $4.9 Million to Nathaniel Witherell

In what First Selectman Peter Tesei described as a win-win for the Town, Nathaniel Witherell and for Eversource, the utility company presented a $4.49 million check to the Witherell for Project Renew.
