Six Figure Bond for Greenwich Man Charged after Investigation of Near Fatal Heroin Overdose

Bobby Wolterstorff, 24, of 54 North Old Stone Bridge Rd in Greenwich was arrested on Jan 17 by Greenwich Police, following a lengthy investigation stemming from a near fatal heroin overdose of a person within the Town of Greenwich on Dec. 29, 2016.

At about 4:00pm, Greenwich Police Narcotics unit responded to 54 Old Stone Bridge to serve an arrest warrant for Mr. Wolterstorff, who was then charged with Assault 2nd degree and Sale of Narcotics.

His bond was set at $100,000, which he was unable to post. Wolterstorff was assigned a court date in Stamford Superior Court on Feb 1, 2017.

Mr. Wolterstorff is well known to Greenwich Police.

Back in May 2014, he was sent to state prison after pleading guilty in court to multiple charges. Wolterstorff, who hadn’t been able to make bond, remained detained throughout court proceedings. Once he was sentenced on March 10, 2014, he moved from jail to prison.

According to the Connecticut Judicial Branch’s website, Wolterstorff’s troubles stem back to 2011 when he was 18:

Charged with Burglary 3rd Degree (Class D Felony) committed on Jan 10, 2012 Wolterstorff pleaded guilty, sentenced to one year.

Charged with Larceny 2nd Degree (Class C Felony) committed on May 19, 2012, Wolterstorff pleaded guilty and was sentenced to one year.

Charged with Larceny 3rd Degree (Class D Felony) committed July 25, 2011, Wolterstorff pleaded Nolo Contendere  and was found guilty and sentenced to one year.

Charged with Larceny 6th Degree (Class C Misdemeanor) committed July 29, 2011, Wolterstorff pleaded guilty, sentenced to 90 days.

Charged with Burglary 3rd Degree (Class D Felony) committed on April 17, 2013, Wolterstorff pleaded Nolo Contendere and was found guilty, sentenced to one year.

Charged with Credit Card Theft (Class A Misdemeanor) committed on May 4, 2013, Wolterstorff pleaded guilty, sentenced to one year.

Charged with Burglary 2nd Degree (Class C Felony) committed Jan 16, 2013, Wolterstorff pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 9 Years Jail, Execution Suspended After 3 Years, Probation 3 Years.
