Board of Selectmen’s Field Trip to New Leb Ravine: Visualizing a New School

On Friday a group of about 20 members of the BET, RTM Board of Education, the Schools Superintendent, neighborhood residents, media, candidates for the building committee and all three selectmen walked the perimeter of the proposed New Lebanon School, the longest portion of which parallels the edge of the ball field and forms a horseshoe that opens onto wetland and woodland. Business and Culinary Showcase Set for Wednesday, May 13 with Over 70 Exhibitors

The Greenwich Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Business & Culinary Showcase is set for Wednesday, May 13 from 5:30pm to 8:30pm at the Eastern Greenwich Civic Center. Participants can sample local restaurant fare, wine, beverages, and, of course, desserts. Bill Evans, Channel 7 – ABC television, will emcee the evening. GHS Students Win New York Times Editorial Contest

Students in English and Seminar Skills classes at Greenwich High School submitted editorials online to the New York Times. Out of in the contest out of 4,500 submissions nationwide, two editorials submitted by Greenwich High School 9th graders were among the Top Ten winners of the New York Times Second Annual Student Editorial Contest.
