On Tuesday night, a public forum at New Lebanon School was packed. Seating ran out quickly, and dozens stood at the back and lined the walls of the gym. After architect Michael Tribe reviewed Schemes A through D, all options for locating a new school on the Byram campus, the Board of Education opened the mic to members of the community. On Tuesday the Board of Directors of the Needs Clearing House presented Kids in Crisis a $1,000.00 donation to help offset the non-profit’s anticipated $250,000 budget short for next fiscal year. The funds may be used anytime as Kids in Crisis sees fit. A $30 Million expansion and renovation project planned for the grim-looking 1950s public housing project known as Armstrong Court in Chickahominy moved a step closer to fruition after Monday’s RTM meeting. On June 8 the RTM voted both to reject Peter Berg’s suggestion to have a sub-committee study the proposal further, and to approve Municipal Improvement status for the project.
