At the CIAC Class LL boys outdoor track championships in New Britain on May 30, the Cardinals celebrated earning the team title, finishing ahead of rivals from Hamden. But the win was overturned by CIAC after a religious accommodation allowed a Hamden athlete to compete in the MM meet the following day, Sunday and have his points apply to the previous day’s event. The situation is unprecedented. GHS athletes and parents asked the CIAC to review how the situation was handled.

You bring our own shopping bags to the supermarket. You single-stream recycle a great deal more than with the old blue bin recycling. You are switching to LED lighting. Choose one more good habit. Set a good example. Encourage others.
Choose where can you save water – Dishes, shower, laundry, car washing, tooth brushing, sprinklers. Conserving water will benefit our reservoir, particularly after the dry summer and winter of 2015. Choose Energy Star appliances, insulated windows, LED lighting. Energy use releases carbon into the atmosphere. Choose to refuse a bag. Buy products with minimal packaging.
