GHS Outdoor Track Team Learns Tough Lesson In Sportsmanship after CIAC Decision Tips the Championship Scales

At the CIAC Class LL boys outdoor track championships in New Britain on May 30, the Cardinals celebrated earning the team title, finishing ahead of rivals from Hamden. But the win was overturned by CIAC after a religious accommodation allowed a Hamden athlete to compete in the MM meet the following day, Sunday and have his points apply to the previous day’s event. The situation is unprecedented. GHS athletes and parents asked the CIAC to review how the situation was handled.

Sacred Heart Celebrates that Graduation of its 177th Class

Sacred Heart Greenwich celebrated the graduation of its 177th class, comprising 69 young women on Friday. Among the 69 graduates, Sacred Heart Greenwich celebrated nine “lifers” who attended the school since Lower School and 12 student-athletes committed to continuing their athletic careers at the collegiate level.

Targets in New York, Missouri, Louisiana, Alabama, Wisconsin, Kentucky, and California say they were contacted via email after posting their resumes on LinkedIn and Indeed. Scam Tracker reports say the job offer comes from a Frederick Wilford of Coast Healthcare Management, LLC located at 45 S Main St. in Hartford.
