Greenwich Farmers Market Opens May 16 in Horseneck Lot

YMCA of Greenwich Celebrates Record-Breaking Healthy Kids Day Attendance

The YMCA of Greenwich welcomed more than 450 attendees to its annual Healthy Kids Day, marking the largest turnout in the event’s history. YMCA staff members hosted a wide variety of activities throughout the building, including:

• Make-your-own sunflower pots
• DIY organic bird feeders
• Slime making stations
• Tie-dye t-shirt creation
• Push-up and squat contests
• Water safety games
• An obstacle course experience for kids

George Washington Inaugural Bible Comes to Greenwich

In honor of America’s 250th Anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, the George Washington Inaugural Bible will be displayed at the Greenwich Library [Jewel Room] from 11:00am until 3:00pm. The event is thanks to the efforts of Acacia Lodge No. 85, A.F. & A.M.— the Masonic lodge of Greenwich.

Greenwich Becomes First Connecticut Town to Win National “Clearie” Awards for Excellence in Election Administration

Greenwich’s honors came in the category of Best Practices in Recruiting, Retaining, and Training Poll Workers. The first winning program featured Poll Worker Training Cards. The flashcards provided election workers with essential reminders on laws and processes.
