The program will feature a presentation of key data about the school budget and a calendar of the budget approval process by League Voter’s Services Co-Chairman, Becky Gillan.
Co-moderators Brian Peldunas, President of PTA Council, and Nancy Weissler, League member and past Chairman of the Board of Education (BOE) and past member of the Board of Estimate and Taxation (BET), will then lead two 20-minute Q&As with town officials.
The first will direct questions on the BOE operating and capital budgets to Dr. Toni Jones, Superintendent of Schools, Peter Bernstein, BOE Chairman, and Fred Camillo, First Selectman.
The second will direct questions on the BET and RTM approval process to Mike Mason, BET Chairman; Leslie Moriarty, BET Democratic Caucus Chairman; and Kim Blank, RTM Education Committee Chairman.
The forum is open to the public.
