LWV Greenwich to Host Climate Change Discussion Featuring Senator Chris Murphy

The League of Women Voters Greenwich will host an event entitled, ‘Tackling Climate Change: The Importance of Finding Bi-Partisan Solutions.’

On Monday, February 26, the League of Women Voters of Greenwich will welcome Senator Chris Murphy (D-CT) and former Rep. Bob Inglis (R-SC) for a discussion about the importance of bi-partisan cooperation on the issue of climate change.

Senator Murphy will talk about his legislative progress in tackling environmental challenges with his Republican colleagues in Congress, and Mr. Inglis, currently the Executive Director of RepublicEN, will discuss his evolution on this issue, along with his mission to re-frame the issue of climate change in a way that better engages fellow conservatives.

The talk will be via Zoom from 11:00am until 11:45am.

Co-sponsors are Braver Angels, Connecticut Public, Town of Greenwich Sustainability Committee, Greenwich Audubon Center, Greenwich Land Trust, Greenwich Green and Clean, and Waste Free Greenwich.

Questions can be submitted from the audience in advance upon registration, and there will be an opportunity for attendees to submit questions via chat during the event.
