“Something Natural from Nantucket” to Open Behind Saks

A new retail business will take up residence in the building behind Saks that was previously home to Burt’s Bees Baby.

Something Natural from Nantucket received permission for signage from the Architectural Review Commission on April 5. The business will be an outpost of the popular sandwich shop and bakery located on Nantucket Island.

The company’s website sums up Something Natural’s offerings: “We make good things to eat! Come try our piled high sandwiches on our fresh baked bread and award winning cookies.”

On Nantucket, Something Natural operates seasonally at 50 Cliff Road, though their fresh baked bread is available out of season at Stop & Shop markets and Bartlett Farm.

Near the future home of Something Natural of Nantucket is Black Forest Bakery, which sells cookies, pastries, breads and coffee. As far as sandwich makers, there are many, including is Subway Sandwiches at both 28 and 401 Greenwich Ave, Coffee Cafe Roasters at 118 Greenwich Ave, b.Good at 342 Greenwich Ave, Aux Délices on W Elm Street, and Greenwich Salad Company at 375 Greenwich Ave.

In Greenwich, the owners are chronicling the hard work of renovating the vintage house behind Saks on Facebook.
