Last summer the “Do It All Dudes” business took off in a big way, with a group of recent GHS grads doing everything from junk removal and dump runs, to attic clear outs and weed wacking.
This May, Lane Critchell, who just finished his sophomore year at Trinity College in Hartford, said that last summer the Do It All Dudes had a roster of over 20 students. Then, between semesters, when the students were home for winter break, they picked up about 100 Christmas trees and brought them to the dump to be ground into mulch.

Lane said the response was overwhelming, and that the number of texts became difficult to keep up with.
“I’d sent so many texts that Apple thought I was scamming people. I had to go to the Apple Store and reset my Apple ID,” he said. “Twice!”
Lane most certainly was not up to anything except hard work.
“I expect babysitting and sports lessons will be huge. I also expect general yard work and house/garage/basement attic clean outs to be popular.” – Lane Critchell, founder of Stask.com
Lane returned to Greenwich for summer 2026, having worked with friends and professors to take his business to the next level: a website that allows local clients with jobs to connect with college students, Stask.com.
At Stask clients can hire a college student to get things done. Lane explained that Do It All Dudes was more oriented to young men, as reflected with their red pick up truck logo, but Stask will have a broader reach.
Our tag line is, “Post what you need, pick from student applicants, and get it done.”
All it takes is for a student to create a profile and have a school “.edu” email address.
Greenwich High School students can register as a student with a .edu email address or a greenwichschools.org email address.
Payments are arranged between client and student.
Some of the job categories are babysitting, furniture assembly, pet care, moving & lifting, cleaning, tutoring and errands.
The website is similar to the former QuadJobs, which has dissolved.
“I realized there was nothing like what QuadJobs did and there was nothing like Do It All Dudes on a larger scale,” Lane said, adding that the process of setting up an account on Stask is easy as setting up an Instagram account.
Lane said the logo for his new jobs platform is a handshake in the shape of a heart.

Clients can use the website to input the details of their job including budget and time frame.
For students, once they have created their profile, whenever a client posts a job, students receive a push notification and apply for the job.
“The client sees everyone who has applied for the job and their profile,” he said.
“For students, the more you fill out your profile, more likely you’ll be notified about jobs,” he explained. “There is a checklist. Students can upload a photo, where they go to school, what they’re studying, past work and skills. I expect babysitting and sports lessons will be huge.”
“I also expect general yard work and house/garage/basement attic clean outs to be popular,” he added.
“There is even a place to upload photos of work completed,” Lane said, adding that he uploaded photos of his drywall work and his truck ready for a dump run.

For example, he said a parent might need someone to pick up their child from practice and give them a ride home.
Or they might want to find an athlete who can work with their child on their sport.
“As students keep doing jobs, the clients can review them on a scale of up to 5 stars and have the option of writing a review,” Lane said.
While Stask is a website, it is also an app which is ideal for job notifications.
App can be found at the below link:

When clients sign up, there is a free trial, followed by a $10 per month fee that helps funds the website.
Lane described the Stask promise: “If anything goes wrong, we’ll do our best to help resolve it.”
All the previous Do It All Dudes clients will receive a message informing them of the new Stask service.
“Making the website and app was a challenge,” Lane said.
But, he added, “But we were glad to be so busy last summer. Every day was different and we met so many nice people, received referrals and earned repeat customers.”
Giving an example of how the business flourished, Lane recalled one situation:
“For one customer last summer, we cleaned out her basement, did multiple dump runs, did a bunch of landscaping and housework, and then set up the party, did the grilling and serving, and then cleaned up. They were very happy,” he said.
